Carolina tonight and a primo opportunity to pass the Champ's belt along for a third time this week.

With a shorthanded game-winning goal tonight's Big Boy could only be Jonny Toews.

                                                   Quite a good likeness, actually...

Big Boy: A Day Late (but that's how it goes)

Despite losing Patrick Kane in the first period The Hawks dominated the accursed Blues in every way.

With a goal and a full sixty-minute effort, Wednesday's Big Boy is Ben Smith.

                             Time to pull slack with Saad & Kane on the disabled list.

Needle was able to have a visit with three other 'hounds that were re-homed by Northern Lights Greyhound Adoption.  L-R Needle, Field Day, Thunderin' Earl and Baker.

Field Day and Needle even raced at the same track, sometimes against each other.

Needle surveys his domain.  Or, what he thinks is his domain.

Needle has become chummy with this yellow guy with a big head.  Could be a pal, a playmate or, more likely, a pillow.

They're in the other Conference, now...

...but it's always good to beat Detroit.

Tonight's Big Boy, with a goal and two assists in his first game after missing five, is Marian Hossa.

Hey, hey, a 2-1 win over the worst team in the NHL.  We'll take it.  Here's yer Big Boy.

No goals, no assists but several solid defensive plays and a few painful-looking shot blocks get Niklas Hjalmarsson the Champ's Belt.
